Towards the end of 2020 I was fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph a series of Micro-Weddings, sometimes booked at short notice or a result of several re-arranged dates. Charlotte and Timothy was one such example further complicated by foreign travel arrangements which at the time were constantly changing due to regulations, so I was happy to wait on standby and was delighted when I received the email to say 'it's on!'
I have to say their patience was rewarded with a beautiful sunny day in Chester and a lovely, laid back intimate wedding ceremony with family and friends inside the historic and picturesque Chester Town Hall, another local venue for me. Having arrived early I spent a little time scouting the location for photo ideas and I was so glad I did when I spotted the large, cinema style sign on the side of the Storyhouse theatre which simply read 'Always and Forever' I knew that I would have to use this in one of my images. After an emotional ceremony with close family and friends, we proceeded with the family line-ups before enjoying a short walk to capture a series of images in and around the Storyhouse theatre which I used as the main location for the couples images.
As much as I enjoy documenting a full day wedding, I also consider myself something of a small wedding specialist as detailed in a previous blog post: Small Wedding Specialist
